enjoyed the voice very much. the one-sided convo i liked as well. what is it about irish-speak that makes me think it's automatically not of this period? it's a strange reaction.
like my hub's friend said, why do all the baddies in LOTR have a cockney accent?

Very edgy and bleak. I too really like the one-sided conversation.
Cheery is sometimes overrated. Loved the voice in that piece. The POV is very distinct and sharp. Excellent. Congrats and I hope you get more work published soon!
I've come back to read more by Mr. Neville. But where has the elusive Mr. Neville gone to? Hopefully to write more, in which case his absence will be ceompletely acceptable! ;o)
